Russian drones struck six locations in Kyiv's city centre and eastern suburbs early Saturday, injuring four people and damaging apartment buildings and other dwellings. Ukrainian forces are defending positions and hunting down sabotage groups in the northeastern city of Kupiansk despite Russian assertions of full control. The Russian Ministry of Defence said its forces cleared Ukrainian troops from 6,585 buildings in Pokrovsk amid fierce fighting. Ukraine reported strikes on Russia's Saratov oil refinery and the Saky airbase in occupied Crimea, causing explosions and fire. Moscow said air defences destroyed 136 Ukrainian drones overnight. President Zelenskyy's chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, resigned after anticorruption agents searched his home; he had led Ukraine's negotiation team opposing US-proposed peace terms, and Zelenskyy said he would consider a replacement.
