The center will support Rivian R1, R2 and R3 models as well as the VW ID.every1 platform. Southern Sweden provides a skilled workforce with a legacy in wireless and embedded technologies and a strong presence of software engineers and game developers, aiding user experience and product development. The region includes other mobility actors such as Koenigsegg in Ängelholm. The local acquisition of Iternio by Rivian in 2023 links Lund startup expertise to the new operations, and multiple positions are open.
