Raymond O'Neill has launched a bid to overturn a murder conviction in the Supreme Court after Northern Ireland's most senior judges dismissed his appeal. O'Neill was found guilty of murdering mother-of-three Jennifer Dornan following a lengthy jury trial in west Belfast. The Court of Appeal rejected the challenge mounted by O'Neill in December. The conviction and the failed appeal form the basis for the current attempt to obtain a higher court review. The Supreme Court will now consider whether to hear or rule on the challenge to the conviction.
