Polish president Karol Nawrocki and Prime Minister Donald Tusk set aside partisan rivalry to present a united front after 19 Russian drones entered Polish airspace. Many of the drones originated in Belarus, marking a first. Tusk pledged that he, the president, and his ministers would act like one fist and called for unity to prevent exploitation by the eastern neighbor. The Sejm responded with atypical applause. Nawrocki and Tusk met twice to plan responses and agreed to fully coordinate steps on the international stage. Slawomir Cenckiewicz described the cooperation as "exemplary." The constitution assigns the president as supreme commander of the armed forces.
