Samer recalled the scene, stating, 'I heard screaming, so I went outside to see one of the bakery owners outside holding his arm. His arm was bleeding.'
Moneer Simrin reported that the alleged attacker became irate after claiming he was allergic to eggplant and started acting aggressively after being offered compensation.
Paterson Mayor André Sayegh emphasized that such violence is uncommon in the area and assured residents that the police were focused on apprehending the suspect.
