Romania issued emergency "Take Shelter" Ro-Alert messages after a Russian "Shahed" drone entered Romanian airspace. The alert warned of possible falling objects and instructed people to shelter in basements or civil protection shelters, or to stay inside away from windows and exterior walls if no shelter is available. ISU Galati said two alerts were sent: one for the east of the country and one nationwide. The warning noted possible small air targets near the Romania–Ukraine border and the risk of falling drone fragments. NATO fighter jets were scrambled in response, and the Ukrainian Air Force reported a Russian UAV presumably crossed into Romania shortly after 8am.
