The Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) are no longer involved in the investigation into the origins of €357,000 in cash seized by gardaí. The cash was found during a five-day search of the family home of double murderer Yousef Palani in County Sligo. Officers discovered the money after Palani's arrest for the April 2022 murders of Aidan Moffitt and Michael Snee, and for a brutal assault on Anthony Burke. The assault left Burke with life-changing injuries. The seizure and the scope of the investigation center on the provenance of the seized €357,000.
