The Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) has ceased involvement in tracing the origins of €357,000 in cash seized by gardaí. Officers recovered the money during a five-day search of the family home in Co Sligo. The search followed the arrest of Yousef Palani in relation to the April 2022 murders of Aidan Moffitt and Michael Snee. The search also related to a brutal assault on Anthony Burke that caused life-changing injuries. The cash was recovered as part of evidence found at the property during the extended police operation, and CAB no longer participates in the asset inquiry.
