"A woman who is accused of murdering two men asked about taking a boat out on Lough Sheelin, Co Cavan - where the men's bodies were eventually found - the day before the men were last seen alive, a witness has told the Central Criminal Court."

Ruth Lawrence, accused of murdering two men, asked about taking a boat out on Lough Sheelin in Co Cavan the day before the men were last seen alive. The men's bodies were eventually found in Lough Sheelin. Lawrence later borrowed an electric engine from her landlord and told him her boyfriend, South African national Neville van der Westhuizen, had a bad back and "wouldn't be able for much rowing". These events occurred in close temporal proximity to the men's disappearances.
