After he exited the bus in Kildare town it is understood a row developed at Magee Terrace, which is close to the garda station, and there was an incident in which Mr Weir Gibbons received a head injury. Mr Weir Gibbons was found unresponsive at approximately 3.15am and rushed to the ICU at Naas General Hospital."

Ryan Weir Gibbons, 29, suffered a head injury following a disagreement on a bus in Kildare town and was found unresponsive at approximately 3.15am. He was rushed to the ICU at Naas General Hospital and died four days later on Thursday, October 30. A post-mortem examination was carried out and An Garda Síochána launched a murder investigation. Funeral attendees were told his death was "tragic and unnecessary" and focused on celebrating a life lived to the fullest. Personal items including a Dublin GAA jersey, photos, cans of his favourite soft drinks, his wallet, phone and baseball cap were placed on his coffin. Friends added a Monster energy can, a Dublin flag, a cigarette and lighter, prompting laughter and reminiscence.
