Motorcyclist (30s) killed in early morning crash on busy Wexford road
"The National Ambulance Service and Gardaí rushed to the busy road, which links Taghmon with the notorious Larkin's Cross, but sadly their efforts were to prove in vain as the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner has been notified. The road was sealed off to traffic pending a full technical examination of the scene by garda forensic collision investigators. It is expected to remain closed for some time and local diversions are in place."
"Wexford Gardaí have urged motorists to "avoid the location if possible and use alternative routes" and to "allow extra time for your journey and drive with caution". Wexford Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this tragic incident to come forward. "Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 6.00am and 6.30am on Monday 1st December 2025, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí," a statement said."
A man died in a crash on the R738 at Growtown Uppera, Barntown, Co Wexford at approximately 6.20am. The National Ambulance Service and Gardaí attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Gardaí appealed for witnesses and dash-cam footage from 6.00am–6.30am on 1 December 2025 and provided contact numbers. An Garda Síochána warned of flooding and urged extra care on the roads.
