Hundreds gathered in Milan's Piazza XXV Aprile to protest the planned deployment of ICE agents during the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. Participants included members of the Democratic Party, the CGIL trade union confederation and ANPI, along with many others. Organisers handed out plastic whistles while music played. Banners accused ICE of echoing fascism and cited U.S. incidents in Minneapolis; slogans included 'No thank you, from Minnesota to the world' and 'Never again means never again for anyone.' Milan's mayor said the agents were not welcome, and Italy's interior minister was called to Parliament.
