Rumiantsev, 22, who lived in Canary Wharf, was accused of assault and other offences; he was convicted of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and perverting the course of justice. He was acquitted of charges including rape and intentional strangulation relating to separate alleged incidents. The case was heard at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
