Revenue Officers found 55.3 kg of suspected cocaine during a search of a vehicle that had disembarked from a ferry at Rosslare Europort yesterday. The estimated value of the seizure is €3,747,000, approximately €3.75 million. A man in his 40s was arrested following the discovery and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a Garda station in County Wexford. The seizure followed a targeted search by Revenue Officers after the vehicle disembarked from the ferry. Garda and Revenue investigations into the seizure and related activity are ongoing.
