Major delays across Dublin after debris on train line
"There is major disruption to train services in Dublin this morning due to debris on the line. Irish Rail earlier warned passengers that there was delays due to a "collapsed wall" at Salthill and Monkstown Dart station. Dart services were only serving from Howth/Malahide to Landsdowne due to the debris. However, due to the earlier delays on the Dart network there are knock on delays to services through the city centre due to congestion."
"The Dart is experiencing delays of up to 35 minutes and the Northern Commuter line is experiencing delays of up to 10 minutes. More to follow..."
Debris on the line has caused major disruption to train services in Dublin this morning. A collapsed wall at Salthill and Monkstown DART station is the source of the obstruction. DART services are operating only between Howth/Malahide and Lansdowne while the debris remains. Earlier delays on the DART network have produced knock-on congestion through the city centre affecting multiple routes. The DART is experiencing delays of up to 35 minutes. The Northern Commuter line is experiencing delays of up to 10 minutes. Further updates are expected as clearance and recovery efforts proceed.
