Michelin introduced a new 'Keys' award class for hotels last year. Each autumn, chefs and hoteliers await Michelin decisions for stars and Keys. An initial 14 Irish hotel awardees were announced at the end of 2024, but some notable properties were omitted. At the second Key ceremony in Paris, 16 Irish hotels featured. Adare Manor and Ballyfin Demesne retained three Keys. Five hotels received two Keys, including Ashford Castle, Cashel Palace, the Park Hotel Kenmare, Sheen Falls Lodge, and The Merrion in Dublin. A Kilkenny restaurant is judged deserving of two Michelin stars.
