"I think the first week was just trying to get that out of the way. Then the second week, I felt like it was very disappointing. Made a few changes [with a] new putter, just working on a few different mechanical things in the putting. [I] felt like it started to click, I guess."
Brooks Koepka, a five-time major champion, is making his fourth PGA Tour start of the season at The Players Championship, marking his first competition against nearly all of the circuit's top stars. As part of the PGA Tour's Returning Member Program following his LIV Golf League involvement, Koepka has been restricted to non-signature events, forcing him to sit out tournaments like the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Since returning to the PGA Tour in January, his results have been inconsistent, including a missed cut at the WM Phoenix Open. However, Koepka showed improvement at the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches in March after switching to a Spider putter model and making mechanical adjustments to his putting stroke.
