Gardai seize e-scooters, scramblers and 65,000 in drugs and cash in major operation
"Gardaí said they seized 18 e‑scooters, a motorbike, five mini‑scramblers, five motorised bicycles, drugs worth around €55,000 and €10,740 in cash during coordinated searches at 21 locations across Dublin. According to investigators, the vehicles are suspected of being used to facilitate on‑street drug dealing. The search operation comes after the death of 16-year-old Grace Lynch, who was killed after being struck by a scrambler at the weekend."
"Gardaí said the searches, carried out across Dublin's north inner city this morning, formed part of an ongoing operation targeting on‑street drug dealing. Officers seized a range of vehicles, including e‑scooters, e‑bikes and scrambler‑type motorbikes which they believe were being used to facilitate street‑level drug distribution. One person was also arrested on an outstanding bench warrant. As well as disrupting drug networks, gardaí said today's operation focused on tackling drug‑related intimidation and other organised‑crime activity linked to these groups."
