UN sanctions were reimposed on Iran under a snapback mechanism that became effective on September 28. Iran says it has no plans to negotiate immediately and is examining the consequences and implications of the revived sanctions. Iranian diplomacy and consultations will continue, and decisions will be taken when diplomacy can be effective and aligned with national interests.
