They were attacked after they had sold stolen diesel in Russia n occupied Berdiansk in the Zaporzhzhia region. Footage shows the Chechen fighters driving down a road and there was smouldering remnants of military vehicles which look like they were recently attacked. Kadyrovite Chechen units from the Akhmat battalion were targeted after selling stolen diesel in occupied Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia region. Kyiv's military intelligence (GUR) coordinated the operation with local partisans to attack Chechen troops fighting alongside Russian forces. Footage shows smouldering remnants of burned military vehicles along a road where the fighters drove. A Kadyrovite filmed while returning from a mission to carry provisions and mines and described damaged hydraulics and accelerated driving. He noted a "cemetery of burned vehicles" and was cut off by an explosion seconds later. The strike is attributed to an FPV munition during the incursion.
