Those applying for the grant will either need insulation installed already, or plan to install it at the same time as the retrofit on windows and doors. Grants for window and door retrofitting were previously available only as part of a deep retrofitting scheme for a full home upgrade."
"Semi-detached and end-of-terrace properties can receive grants for up to €3,000, mid-terrace properties up to €1,800, and apartments up to €1,500. The new grant will be available from March 3. Some people who had already availed of grants could now need a higher level of insulation to get their home ready for heat pump installation. Those who already received a grant for cavity or wall insulation were previously unable to apply for another one."

The new grant includes €6,500 to cover the cost of the heat pump, €2,000 for upgrading radiators and pipework and a new €4,000 bonus for installing the heat pump. The Government and SEAI introduce targeted grants to make home energy upgrades more accessible. A new grant allows window and door upgrades to reach heat pump standards, conditional on existing or concurrent insulation work. Grants include €800 per door (up to two), and window caps of €4,000 for detached, €3,000 for semi-detached/end-of-terrace, €1,800 for mid-terrace, and €1,500 for apartments; available from March 3. Homeowners who previously received cavity or wall insulation grants can now apply for a second wall measure. A new fixed heat pump grant up to €12,500 covers €6,500 for the pump, €2,000 for radiator and pipe upgrades, and a €4,000 installation bonus, starting February 3 and applicable to prior SEAI applications.
