Escaped emu rescued by police after feather-raising chase

After the flightless bird bolted in front of the police car, it reportedly perched "comfortably" in the Midcoast Hospital parking lot.
Brunswick police officers Cory Clark and Paige Michaud responded to reports of a "large bird" spotted on a road, and were stunned to find an emu who had escaped from its owner's yard.
The officers waited with the bird until its owner came to collect it, the post said.
