"Fifteen people suspected of spreading "Islamic State"(IS) propaganda on TikTok were arrested in raids across the Netherlands by Dutch police on Tuesday. The Dutch public prosecution office said the 15 suspects were trying to "incite others to commit terrorist crimes" through IS propaganda, which included calls to join the Islamist terrorist group while glorifying the idea of "martyrdom." Some of the posts were viewed more than 100,000 times, Dutch authorities said."
"Police said the suspects were aged between 16 and 53 years old, and accused of "incitement to commit a terrorist offence, disseminating ISIS (Islamic State) propaganda, and/or participating in a terrorist organization," prosecutors said in a statement. Thirteen of the suspects have Syrian nationality. Three others have Dutch citizenship and four suspects are minors. Another person was arrested in January in connection with the case, whom authorities described as the "main suspect in the investigation." Prosecutors did not rule out the possibility of more arrests linked to the TikTok posts."
