Reports emerged of a potential takeover bid for Alpine involving Christian Horner, Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore. Toto Wolff gave an approving nod to the idea, but Briatore denied any current plans and said Christian Horner is not in Formula 1 at the moment. Briatore acknowledged emotional involvement but said many emotions are not helpful. Oscar Piastri spoke about handling pressure while leading the drivers' championship. Lando Norris topped every practice session at Zandvoort and sits nine points behind Piastri. The two McLarens were significantly quicker than George Russell's Mercedes, with tight margins making mistakes decisive.
I'm not considering anything at this moment, and Christian is not in Formula 1 anymore. I hope he comes back soon but, for the moment, he's not in the picture at Alpine.
I have emotions, I still feel everything that everyone else feels. It's just that, being blunt, I think a lot of emotions are not that helpful.
