Novak Djokovic withdrew from the ATP Tour Finals in Turin next week because of an ongoing shoulder injury after winning the Athens Open. At 38 he became the oldest man to win an ATP Tour event, claiming his 101st title by defeating Lorenzo Musetti in three sets while playing with shoulder wrapping. He announced the withdrawal on Instagram, apologized to fans, and wished the other players an excellent tournament. Musetti had needed the Athens title to qualify for the Finals and finished ninth after losing; as the first alternate he replaces Djokovic in Turin.
