Denmark contacted NATO after a suspected hybrid drone attack that prompted diversion of inbound flights to Aalborg Airport and closure of the airspace. Police reported drones with lights near Aalborg and said investigators were present while the airspace remained closed. Flightradar confirmed Aalborg Airport closure and three inbound flights were diverted. Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen described the incursion as a hybrid attack and said a professional actor appears responsible. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said the drones were launched locally but came from a long distance and that Russian involvement cannot be ruled out. Drones were observed at multiple sites including military locations such as Skrydstrup.
