Denmark's foreign minister said a fundamental disagreement remains after White House talks with U.S. officials and Greenland's foreign minister. Both sides agreed to create a working group to address American security concerns while respecting the Kingdom of Denmark's red lines. President Trump continues to push for U.S. acquisition of Greenland, arguing NATO should lead and citing national security threats from China and Russia and the island's critical mineral resources. Denmark announced plans to boost its military presence in the Arctic and North Atlantic. Trump reiterated his commitment and indicated he expects a resolution.
