"Sweden has offered to lend Denmark a military anti-drone capability. Denmark has naturally accepted,"
"We have seen extensive drone activity in different countries the past few days. Very unwelcome drones,"
"In the past few months alone, we have ordered air defence systems capable of combatting both drones and planes for more than 10 billion kronor ($1.06 billion), and we are investing in new anti-drone capabilities,"
Denmark accepted an offer from Sweden to lend military anti-drone capability for the upcoming EU summit in Copenhagen following several mysterious drone sightings at Danish airports. The Danish defence ministry confirmed the acceptance in a post on X after Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson spoke with Danish counterpart Mette Frederiksen and extended the offer. The summit will take place Wednesday and Thursday with roughly 40 heads of government expected to attend. Sweden has recently invested heavily in air defence, ordering systems to counter drones and planes worth more than 10 billion kronor and expanding anti-drone capabilities.
