Finnish police arrested and are interviewing two crew members from cargo vessel Fitburg after suspected sabotage damaged a data cable inside Estonia's EEZ. Fitburg was moving from St. Petersburg to Haifa and was detained while its anchor chain was in the water. Finnish Customs said the ship carried steel subject to EU sanctions. Three ships were in the area when operators reported the cable damage. Finland and Estonia opened a joint criminal investigation. Investigators are using ROVs, sonar, echo sounders and Defence Forces support while pursuing aggravated criminal damage and telecommunications interference charges.
