Canadian Olympic curler says he's no cheat, attacks Sweden
"Yes, I'm not even going there. I've never even known that to be a concern before. It's never ever come up in conversation."
"And if somebody said to you, 'Hey, do you double-touch all the time?' I honestly, in that split second of a moment, I couldn't even tell you if I do or not," he said."
"They've come up with a plan to catch teams in the act," Kennedy said."
Marc Kennedy denied deliberately cheating and said he has never had intent to gain an advantage by breaking curling rules. He acknowledged that he 'probably could have handled it better' after an expletive-laden outburst toward Oskar Eriksson, who accused him of 'double-touching' a rock during Canada's 8-6 round-robin win. Footage circulating online appeared to show Kennedy touching the stone after release, but he said he had never considered double-touching a concern and could not say whether he does it. Kennedy suggested the incident might reflect 'premeditated planning to try to catch us' by Sweden. World Curling issued a verbal warning.
