The Smarter Web Company began trading on the London Stock Exchange Main Market under ticker SWC at 43p after an April 2025 IPO on the Aquis Exchange. The firm was founded in 2009 as a web design agency and pivoted in 2025 to a bitcoin treasury strategy, describing bitcoin as "digital capital." The company holds 2,674 bitcoin, the largest holdings among UK public companies and 29th globally, acquired with roughly £221 million of investor capital at an average price just over $111,000 per coin. Bitcoin was trading near $77,000, down from a peak above $120,000. The company aims for FTSE 250 inclusion with longer-term FTSE 100 ambitions.
