"Joining forces with REEN is a defining step for both companies. Together, we can scale faster, serve customers better, and lead the transformation of how cities and companies manage resources."
"This acquisition marks an important milestone on our journey toward 300,000 connected assets. By combining Bintel's innovative AI technology and strong Swedish customer base with REEN's scale and experience, we can accelerate growth and contribute to a more circular and data-driven economy."
REEN has acquired Lund-based waste management startup Bintel to create a stronger Nordic platform for smart waste management. The combined company will integrate REEN's logistics and sensor technology with Bintel's AI-powered analytics platforms Insight, Brain, and Go. The acquisition strengthens REEN's footprint in Sweden and merges complementary technologies and customer portfolios to serve municipalities, real estate owners, and commercial customers. The combined organization aims to accelerate efficiency, sustainability, and digital innovation across the waste value chain and pursue a target of 300,000 connected assets. Bintel will be rebranded as REEN and serve as REEN's Swedish hub. Karsten Deppert is an early investor in Bintel.
