Benn to fight Prograis on Fury undercard
"Last time I fought in London, Conor Benn was on my undercard, so this is a full-circle moment for me. But this circle will close with me teaching him a lesson. He's not fighting some weight-drained super middleweight. I am in shape and will bring home this victory."
"My last fight there showed the world exactly who I am and what I'm about. Fighting on the biggest stages, in the biggest shows, I fear no-one."
Conor Benn, 29, has signed a one-fight deal with Zuffa Boxing worth approximately 11 million pounds and will compete as the co-main event against Regis Prograis on April 11. The fight takes place on the undercard of Tyson Fury's comeback bout against Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Prograis, a 37-year-old former light-welterweight world champion, has lost two of his last three fights but expresses confidence in defeating Benn. Benn recently defeated Chris Eubank Jr in a November rematch at middleweight and intends to campaign at welterweight to pursue a world title shot. The event will be promoted by Zuffa Boxing and broadcast on Netflix.
