"Excursions aboard The British Pullman, a Belmond Train, have long been considered among the best train trips in the world, with the most discerning travelers stepping into restored 1920s and '30s carriages that embody a contemporary Golden Age of Travel look and feel. Guests settle into plush dining chairs and couchette-style hideouts for exquisite suppers in Art Deco interiors, all while the train trundles through the British countryside."
"Set within an original 1932 Pullman carriage, Celia features a cocktail bar, lounge, dining area and entertainment space, welcoming lucky ferroequinologists on immersive journeys from London Victoria. The carriage's design celebrates London's 1930s West End scene and vintage cinema, based around the fictional character Celia, an imagined leading lady who is gifted her own Pullman carriage following an acclaimed performance as Titania, Queen of the Fairies, in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream."
The British Pullman offers journeys in restored 1920s and '30s carriages with Art Deco interiors, plush dining chairs and couchette-style hideouts for suppers while traversing the British countryside. More than four decades after the original carriages were restored, a new carriage will join the set. In early summer 2026 the British Pullman welcomes Celia, a private dining and events carriage imagined and designed by filmmaker Baz Luhrmann and production designer Catherine Martin. Housed in an original 1932 Pullman carriage, Celia includes a cocktail bar, lounge, dining area and entertainment space for immersive journeys from London Victoria. The design celebrates London's 1930s West End and vintage cinema around the fictional leading lady Celia, uniting artisans to evoke theatre, landscape and literary legends.
