Mr. Varadkar's memoir, titled Speaking My Mind, will be released on September 11. To commemorate its launch, a speaking event is scheduled at the Mansion House in Dublin on September 14, where he will engage in a conversation with political correspondent Gavan Reilly and conduct a Q&A session. Attendees will receive a hardback copy of the memoir. Varadkar expresses that while people know much about his time in politics, there are also significant untold stories. He feels liberated to discuss insights and mistakes from his time in office.
"There is so much people know already about my time at the top but almost as much that they don't," Varadkar said of the book.
"I have the freedom now to say things I could not while holding office and I have enough distance to reflect on the mistakes I made as much as what I achieved."
