Sixteen final victims of the Crans-Montana blaze have been identified by Valais Police following the Jan. 1 fire. The fire is among the worst recent disasters in Switzerland and injured more than 100 people. Some 40 people died, including 26 teenagers; victims held Swiss, French, Italian and several other nationalities. Hundreds marched in a silent procession in Crans-Montana and mourners attended a church service where international condolences, including from the Pope, were noted. A national day of mourning will be held with church bells and a minute's silence to remember the victims.
