"Poland's military command said drones repeatedly violated Polish airspace during the Russian attack across the border, in western Ukraine. Searches and efforts to locate the potential crash sites of these objects are ongoing," it said in a statement."
Poland scrambled NATO air defenses and domestic forces to intercept drones that entered its airspace during a Russian attack on Ukraine. Prime Minister Donald Tusk said operations were ongoing and that he was in "constant contact" with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and he called for an emergency council of ministers meeting. The military reported radars tracked more than ten objects and that those posing a threat were "neutralised," with some drones shot down and searches underway for crash sites. Authorities urged residents in Podlaskie, Mazowieckie, and Lublin to stay home, and Chopin airport closed and flights were diverted.
