A man suffered catastrophic injuries when an uninsured scrambler motorbike landed on him as he was sunbathing with his wife in a Dublin park. The injured man has settled a High Court action for €5.2 million. The man is named Ilabek Avetian and was 39 at the time of the incident. Avetian had just moved to Ireland from Lithuania to begin a new life. The scrambler motorbike came over a hill and collided with the couple while they were sunbathing. The motorbike was uninsured at the time of the collision.
