How will you find your favorite shows in Miami after the big ABC switch? Here's a guide
Briefly

WPLG-TV, or Local 10, has announced it will end its nearly 70-year partnership with ABC, a move prompted by financial disagreements and a dedication to local programming. The separation comes after unsuccessful negotiations between WPLG, owned by Berkshire Hathaway, and ABC, owned by Disney. ABC content will transition to WSVN-Channel 7, a Fox affiliate, later this year. This change echoes past station shifts in South Florida, causing temporary viewer confusion as programs shift locations.
WPLG-TV, known to South Florida viewers as Local 10, broke up with the ABC television network after a partnership that began in August 1957... After months of negotiations, Local 10's E.R. Bert Medina, WPLG CEO and president, said... ABC and WPLG, owned by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway, could not agree to extend an affiliation agreement.
'We made a generous offer to ABC, but it became clear the two sides were not going to agree to a new deal,' he said.
Later this year, ABC's content will shift to WSVN-Channel 7, a Fox affiliate, which will use Channel 7.2 as ABC Miami.
What happens now with the TV stations? WPLG-TV, Miami's Local 10 News, ends its near seven-decade partnership with ABC, citing financial concerns and a commitment to local programming.
