Gas prices soar by double digits in Florida. What's the cost in your area?
Briefly

Gas prices in Florida have increased significantly in the wake of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, with a notable rise of nearly 17 cents per gallon in South Florida. Despite this, gas prices in the Miami area remain lower than they were a year ago. Analysts suggest that further increases may occur if the situation escalates. The average price for gas statewide has also risen by 15 cents. Currently, North Florida enjoys the lowest prices, while Naples and Palm Beach County are among the highest.
"Drivers in the U.S. could see higher prices at the pump if tensions persist or if oil flows are disrupted," said AAA spokesperson Mark Jenkins.
The cost of gas is up by nearly 17 cents a gallon in South Florida, but prices in Miami are unchanged from a month ago.
