Event organizer Billy McFarland, previously convicted of fraud related to the original Fyre Festival, expressed his desire to continue despite criticism. Local officials in Playa del Carmen confirmed there were no plans for such an event. This is not the first postponement; earlier plans for an event titled "FYRE II" faced cancellations as well. McFarland reportedly attempted to assure followers of continued efforts to secure the event's legitimacy, but the situation remains uncertain.
