NFL Draft: Jets take Armand Membou with No. 7 pick
Briefly

The New York Jets prioritized strengthening their offensive line by drafting Armand Membou, a junior right tackle from Missouri, with the No. 7 overall pick. This move comes after a previous year's selection of Olu Fashanu to bolster a unit that had improved performance. Membou expresses his excitement and anticipation of contributing to the team, filling the void left by the departure of Morgan Moses. With other young players and new additions, the Jets are building a promising foundation for their offensive line to support quarterback Justin Fields this season.
"I had a feeling this was going to be my home. It was just crazy," Membou said on a Zoom call. "There was just something in my gut told me when I woke up today I was going to be a Jet."
"I think the Jets' O-line has a good young foundation," Membou said. "I feel like adding me to it, the work I'm going to put into this organization, we're going to be very good up front in the trenches."
