The Miami Dolphins honored former player Nat Moore by naming a section of Northwest Second Avenue as "Nat Moore Way." This recognition highlights Moore's athletic achievements and his impactful contributions to the community, particularly through his foundation that supports underprivileged youth. The street sign is located near his alma mater, Miami Edison High School, and signifies Moore’s full-circle journey. His ongoing efforts, including a partnership with the Dolphins to create the Nat Moore Endowment Fund, have provided millions in scholarships, underscoring his dedication to education and local youth advocacy.
The street renaming not only honored his on-field contributions but what he has done in the community as well.
It's somewhat amazing that it's across from the high school that gave me my opportunity," Moore said in a video.
Nat Moore is so deserving," City of Miami Commission Chairwoman Christine King said, recognizing both his athletic and community efforts.
Moore started an eponymous foundation to provide educational, cultural and recreational activities for undeserved youth.
