Dolphins' Jordyn Brooks, Tyrel Dodson settle sideline fight at practice
Briefly

After a physical altercation between Miami Dolphins linebackers Jordyn Brooks and Tyrel Dodson at a practice, both players downplayed the incident as a typical brotherly fight. Coach Mike McDaniel supported their perspective, stating that such conflicts are common in a family-like environment. The two players demonstrated camaraderie during the preseason opener, showing unity on the field despite the earlier scuffle. Brooks noted the fight stemmed from wanting to push each other to uphold their performance standards. McDaniel appreciated their quick resolution and willingness to apologize, affirming it strengthened their team bonds.
"Wasn't no disagreement. That's my dog right here, man. Brothers fight all the time. That's all that was, man - brotherly love, man."
"They're like brothers. It was very much a brotherly fight," McDaniel said. "Family business that families go through, and we're stronger because of it."
"That was part of what the scuffle was about, knowing his abilities to do everything out there on the football field," Brooks said.
"I'm not pumped about the front part of it, but I also knew that the people that were engaged in it, they came up to me and explained what happened."
