Dolphins bring back outside linebacker and key special teamer
"This is a guy that was hurt last year that I felt like, during the offseason, training camp did a really good job of just understanding what we were trying to accomplish knowing his role wasn't going to be much on defense at the beginning of the season. So, hey, let's really focus in on special teams and let's be the best player that you can possibly be there. I think he's really taken advantage of that opportunity to lead us in tackles."
"Two things about him. He's going to be where he needs to be, doing what he needs to do, and he's going to play with his hair on fire. And you feel that when you watch the tape."
Cameron Goode has re-signed with the Miami Dolphins following a strong 2025 season. Appearing in all 17 games, Goode recorded seven tackles and one pass defensed on defense while contributing 15 special teams tackles. Former special teams coordinator Craig Aukerman named him the most improved player on the special teams unit, praising his focus and commitment after recovering from a previous knee injury. Defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver also commended Goode's reliability and intensity. Originally a seventh-round pick in 2022, Goode spent his first season on the practice squad before establishing himself on special teams. His re-signing addresses the Dolphins' edge defender depth needs heading into the 2026 offseason.
