Spring Health acquired Alma, a membership-based platform that helps independent mental health clinicians accept insurance and build private practices. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Alma was founded in 2018 by Harry Ritter and raised $220.5 million in equity funding from investors including Thoma Bravo, Insight Partners, and Cigna Ventures. Alma developed a platform enabling clinicians to care for more than 120 million lives through contracts with national and regional payers. Alma's platform will be integrated into Spring Health's product portfolio to provide insurers, providers, and digital health companies with continuous, personalized mental health care. Harry Ritter will continue as Alma's CEO and lead the organization within Spring Health.
