Katie Pender wanted two children by the time she turned 30 and repeatedly shared that wish with partners. She and Thomas Ward have been together for eleven years, and he stayed when others left. Pender experienced the stillbirth of her children and now speaks publicly to support other bereaved parents and to keep her children's memories alive. The couple attends family events where they stand without children while others pose with theirs. Pender balances candid recollections and grief with a commitment to helping others who face similar loss.
