Kate Gosselin Goes Into Detail About What Sextuplet Pregnancy Did to Her Body
""Somebody asked me if I had lasting effects on my body from having sextuplets, and the answer is yes," Gosselin said."
""All day I could not pee, and I had this pain that kept growing and growing. I was in horrible pain. I was nauseous, my stomach hurt. I just kept getting worse and worse," she said."
""My bladder was so compressed that it lost its ability to do what a bladder is supposed to do. It's a muscle, and it lost its elasticity or whatever.""
""ever since then, my bladder has never been right. I can't exactly explain it or put my finger on it, but it is just very different after that.""
Kate Gosselin experienced lasting physical changes after carrying sextuplets, reporting that her enlarged uterus pushed her stomach upward and compressed her bladder under baby weight. After a Cesarean delivery she developed severe urinary retention with escalating pain and nausea until a straight catheter released a humongous amount of urine. She stated that the bladder lost elasticity and no longer functions the same, causing ongoing differences she cannot fully explain. She also reported later experiencing very painful episodes and passing a chunk of tissue, which she kept to show her doctor. The sextuplets are now 21 and Kate shares personal videos online.
