Ms Mageean completed her 12th round of chemotherapy just before Christmas and experienced a chemo-free holiday with her family. She spent recent months alternating between resting with her springer spaniel Sam and reconnecting with close family and her fiancé Thomas Moran as her energy allowed. She expressed deep gratitude for the many kind and beautiful messages she received, saying they provided emotional lifts during the toughest treatment days. She acknowledged that a long road remains but emphasized continuing to find joy in everyday moments while ongoing treatment continues.
