Arts and entertainment correspondent Katie Spencer swore on live television during the early-morning Breakfast show on Saturday 20 December while reporting that David Walliams had been dropped by his publisher. Spencer stumbled over her words and uttered an expletive before asking to restart and requesting that the profanity not be aired. Presenter Kamali Melbourne apologized on air for the language and said the broadcast team would investigate. The incident occurred during an early-morning segment and prompted an immediate on-air apology from the presenter.
